Meet Ann Hecht, Office Administrator
Ann began her career with Federal Foam Technologies in 1995, right before the New Richmond, WI plant’s opening. Over the years, she’s worn many hats—from running die-cutting machinery on the production floor and doing material handling, to managing timecards and scheduling in the office. Her versatility and dedication have made her an indispensable part of the team.
“I started in the Minneapolis office before FFT moved to New Richmond,” Ann recalls. “When the move happened, I transitioned into office administration and HR.”
Today, Ann serves as the Office Administrator, supporting all departments and ensuring the plant and office run smoothly. Whether she’s organizing company events like the annual picnic or golf tournament, proofreading sales orders or preparing customer assembly kits, Ann’s attention to detail and care for her colleagues shine through.
A Journey Rooted in Purpose
Before joining FFT, Ann worked as a mail carrier and also held jobs in retail and events. Driven by job stability, growth opportunities and a long-term commitment, Ann pursued a career at FFT after learning of the company’s new ground-up manufacturing facility in New Richmond, WI that was set to open soon.
“I went to the corporate office, which at the time was in St. Paul, MN, and expressed interest in an office role,” she says. “There weren’t any openings at the time, but I kept pursuing opportunities. Eventually, I was hired for a temp opportunity that led to a full-time position, and the rest is history.”
Ann is often the first person people encounter when they call or visit the New Richmond plant, and she sets the tone with warmth, professionalism and genuine care. Her welcoming presence reflects Federal Foam Technologies’ vision to exceed customer expectations and reinforces the company’s positive, people-centric culture.

Ann’s favorite part of her role is far and above the people she works with.
“I love interacting with internal and external customers,” Ann says. “You really feel like part of a team here, and I take a lot of pride in what I do and always strive for perfection. It’s rewarding to know your work makes a difference.”
She also appreciates FFT’s commitment to employee growth. “They care a lot about us. Whether it’s offering classes or new projects, the company is always preparing us for future roles.”
Ann feels energized by her work, especially as the chair of the employee committee and the dedication and sometimes challenges it presents to organize meaningful events that build FFT’s culture and relationships among employees.
A Personal Connection
Outside of work, Ann enjoys spending time with her grandson—and is excited to welcome a granddaughter in the spring. She’s an avid golfer, practices yoga, and tends to her three-acre property where she grows flowers, herbs, and spices.
Balancing work and personal life is something Ann values deeply. “FFT is incredibly generous and kind when it comes to family. They understand its importance.”
