Federal Foam Technologies Inc. Wins Environment Award Honored for Pollution Prevention Achievements

MADISON, WI - Federal Foam Technologies Inc., New Richmond, Wednesday 05/17/06, was one of nine Wisconsin businesses to win the Wisconsin Business Friend of the Environment Award for outstanding achievements in environmental protection.

Federal Foam Technologies was honored for its achievements in pollution prevention during the 17th Annual Environmental Policy and Awards Conference at the Marriott Hotel in Waukesha on May 17.

"These awards honor companies that have set the standard for good environmental citizenship in Wisconsin," said Scott Manley, director of the Wisconsin Environmental Working Group, the affiliate of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce which sponsors the annual awards. "Every day, they use innovation to go beyond government mandates to keep Wisconsin clean."

The nine winners were chosen from a competitive field of 26 candidates nominated by their peers, and in some cases, the companies themselves. An independent panel of judges who included representatives from industry, state government, environmental organizations and the University of Wisconsin System selected the winners.

"These companies have made a serious commitment to reduce pollution, minimize waste and pursue cost-effective and market-based solutions to environmental challenges," Manley said.

Business Friend of the Environment Award winners are categorized according to number of employees and judged in the areas of pollution prevention, innovative technology and environmental stewardship.
